I like to keep up on stories around the country in which self defense training (often misspelled self defence training) could have come in handy. I will never say what a victim should have done; I just find it necessary to look for glaring reasons why it is helpful to learn self defense; or at least some martial arts moves!

We always extol the great benefits of self defense training in the obvious ways. Personal protection is indeed a very important factor to a long and happy life. Because I have been affected by crime in a personal way, I will always believe that this is the first and foremost benefit of learning combat self defense.
