We always extol the great benefits of self defense training in the obvious ways. Personal protection is indeed a very important factor to a long and happy life. When we’re talking about fighting and self defense tactics, it is an assumption among novices that size matters. A smaller, weaker person is doomed to be the victim of a larger, stronger attacker. Looking at statistics for rape, robbery and other assault, you can see that this assumption is also alive and well in the minds of the bad guys.
