Some statistics show that an individual in America is attacked approximately every 24 seconds. Does this scare you? Even without this statistic, many people find that they feel frightened to go out at certain times, or feel a general sense of discomfort with their surroundings when they are away from home.

School is a part of life that everyone must go through. Sadly, school bullying is a part of most school in every country. Bullies exist outside of the schools, on the streets; hence the need for self defense – so why would it be a surprise that these behaviors start as early as grade school?

When you initially hear this term – innocent until proven guilty – you may assume it refers to the “bad guy” in a court case. If you have been involved in an altercation in which you had to use force to defend yourself and you have engaged in hand to hand combat training or some sort of martial arts training, this statement may actually apply to YOU!
