Look in the dictionary and you would see that intuition is described as “the power of attaining direct knowledge without evident rational thought.” It can be seen as having a “hunch”, or a “feeling.” Intuition, in my opinion, is directly linked to instincts.

I am still surprised that some people find that they need more reason than personal safety to consider self defense training (sometimes misspelled self defence training). I know my situation is a little different; and perhaps anyone who has ever been the victim of a violent attack would think along the same lines as I do.

Some statistics show that an individual in America is attacked approximately every 24 seconds. Does this scare you? Even without this statistic, many people find that they feel frightened to go out at certain times, or feel a general sense of discomfort with their surroundings when they are away from home.

A sad fact that many people are probably unaware of is that stalking is a crime that is one the rise. I like to keep up on stories around the country in which self defense training (often misspelled self defence training) could have come in handy. I will never say what a victim should have done; I just find it necessary to look for glaring reasons why it is helpful to learn self defense; or at least some martial arts moves!
