Martial Arts Calendar

You love martial arts and you or someone you love has bought you a martial arts calendar. There are a lot great ones out there with great photographs or beautiful artwork – and you have just the place to put it. The thing is do you know what goes into it? You have a whole year of martial arts to plan out on your calendar.

The first thing you need to do when you’re planning things out is not to get to ambitious, and schedule yourself for workouts and martial arts classes every day. Sure, make some time to do all of those things, but increase your workout at your own pace. If you can make it to your school three or four times a week you’re doing pretty well, but try to do some form of exercise every day. All you need is twenty minutes to make a difference. You won’t lose a ton of weight, but it will help you out.

If you write down on your martial arts calendar that you’ll be going to a workout do your best to make it. People might say you workout a lot, but keep in mind they don’t do anything – so even one day seems like a lot. You can run, lift weights, or train at the martial arts school. Vary it up so things don’t get boring, but the important thing is that you keep going. Don’t be discouraged if you’re not making progress. If you stick with it, you will be one of the senior students in no time, and one day you will be in front of the class.

A martial arts calendar keeps you organized so you know what you have to do, and what is ahead of you. If you train in a combat sport one day make sure you do self defense on another, and setup times for anything else you need to do. Life is pretty busy so you have to plan things out or you’ll miss the chance. Everyone has a plan until they get hit in the face. Things won’t go perfectly, but at least you have something to work with. You have to start somewhere so buy your calendar and fill it one week at a time until you have your black belt.
