Best Martial Arts
Which are the best martial arts is a question that has probably been asked by everyone at one point or another. Even those not involved in martial arts will probably debate it because they want to know what action star is performing the best combination of martial arts on screen. Well, the fact is the best martial arts are whatever works for you in a given situation. Come on think about it, do you really need a style that breaks bricks or has impressive flips with no contact? Maybe you do, and maybe you don’t it is all relative to your situation. Many martial arts give you a good workout and are a great way to reduce stress so you will you can go with what you like and enjoy, but if you want a form of self defense you have narrowed the field down a great deal.
Some modern styles of martial arts have been designed to just look good on screen; some have been designed to help you lose weight, while others help you relax and achieve spiritual enlightenment. With such different goals in mind it is hard to say one is the best style of the group, because only you can determine which of those are what will help you most. Tai chi combined with Kung Fu might be how you want to relax and workout. Combine Judo and Jujutsu and you will know how to strike and fight on the ground so you will be ready for mixed martial arts. It all depends on you.
In a self defense situation simple is what is best for dealing with real life dangers. All the fancy moves, screaming, and funny customers aren’t necessary. You might even fight the combat sport you know and love isn’t the best choice for fighting in the street because you have all kinds of rules, techniques, and stances ingrained in you. While that might help you win a match in real life it could actually get you hurt worse. Take time to go into a stance or think about which technique will work in the meantime some street demon will cave your head in because they want to the fight to be over as fast as possible. You should still practice your Tae Kwon Do, Karate, and Judo but supplement your training with some good self defense techniques that work anywhere.
