2011 Update Rumor Mill
My announcement yesterday evidently caused quite a stir online as the Google Alert system has been sending us industry and political blog posts non-stop. [See The 2011 Summer Update Video Here]
While most of the buzz is a simple relaying of the information (me retiring, us giving away 100k copies of CCT for free, the big July 4th sale, etc.), an almost inordinate number of discussions, posts, and forums have been focused on everything but.
So here are the top “rumors” (from the ridiculous to the real) and my responses…
Was the ocean view real? (Of course! I’m down at Diamond Beach NJ with my family. I just shut the blinds quickly because the sunlight was causing havoc on the video light meter)
Did I really have surgery? (Unfortunately, yes. Last Tuesday, June 28th 2011, I was rushed to the emergency room when my bowel evidently caught in an adhesion and closed itself off from any blood supply. It was by far the most pain I’ve been in…Which with my history, is saying something!)
Do I really believe Obama is a Socialist Muslim? (Please, that was only the tip of the iceberg. I didn’t even start to rant on how that illegitimate puppet and his cronies are ruining America.)
Am I running for political office? (No. Unlike the buffoons currently running our country, I can admit that I do not yet have enough worldly experience or elder wisdom under my belt to properly be of service. Maybe in 10 years.)
Are we giving away 100k copies of Close Combat Training to build a revolutionary army? (Actually not a bad idea. If we had 250,000 in our community, we really could get things accomplished couldn’t we? I’ll have to think more on this…)
Am I retiring because business sucks? (Hardly. The past three have all been financial banner years. I am just moving on to a new area where I feel my experiences and skills could be of better service to the fellow Patriots I’m dedicated to helping.)
All I am is a “pitch man”. (This was an even greater insult than that liberal fruitcake who wished disease and hardship on me. The mission of my Close Combat Company has always been: “To provide conservative patriots with the skills, knowledge, training, and support needed to guide and assist them through our ever changing world.” Nothing has changed. I find or create the best materials I can to solve problems.)
I am not really retiring and will be back as “Major Pain” or “Colonel Chris”. (LOL! Sorry to disappoint. I’m really retiring from self defense in order to focus on helping Americans build and grow their businesses.)
Am I really offering 50-70% off, or are we just going to inflate prices first? (What?! That wouldn’t be much of a sale. Yes, we’re really going to empty the warehouse on July 4th with deals like $247 video sets for only $87.)
And finally, my favorite…
Was I wearing any pants? (Yes, I was wearing shorts. But my shirt was untucked and I was standing behind a couch!)
