Louisville Mixed Martial arts

Louisville mixed martial arts is just like mixed martial arts in most cities around the country. The good people in Kentucky have found out that when you’re training that you shouldn’t limit yourself to just one martial arts style, and as a business model it is a good idea to offer several different styles to potential clients. The thing is most people don’t realize is that mixed martial arts isn’t a style of martial arts. In fact it is a type of competition that allows different styles and has its roots in competitions like American catch wrestling and Brazilian Vale Tudo. In these competitions fighters of different styles can battle it out with free rules. For many it is a way to prove which style is best, but it really shows people the value of learning multiple styles.

Like many locations around the country, you can find Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kempo, and of coarse karate being taught in Louisville along with many other styles. Are martial arts really different in Kentucky where President Lincoln grew up? President Lincoln was actually a very skilled catch wrestler as a young man. Well, not really other than the fact that people should be as familiar with self defense in a city setting as they should with a rural setting. A fight is still a fight now matter where you are, and even if you have easy access to firearms you need to be ready to fight when you get closer than three feet.

The mixed martial arts craze is the same around the country, but it doesn’t mean anything has really changed. If you have trained in boxing and wrestling you are already a mixed martial artist. If you know Karate and Judo you are already a mixed martial artist. If you have learned grappling techniques, striking techniques, and other moves from many different styles, but don’t practice one particular style well you are already a mixed martial artist. If you train to deal with any situation and don’t limit yourself you are well ahead of many other people.

Louisville mixed martial arts is like martial arts any where else. If you train hard and study you will do fine. Now I am sure the good folks in Kentucky believe they teach the best martial arts, but I think everyone thinks that, and it is a good thing. The rivalry inspires people.
